Rules of the 46th Marxa Beret<\/span><\/strong>\"calendario\"<\/strong><\/h1>\n

OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Marxa Beret is a popular cross-country event included in the FIS long-distance calendar and in the Spanish Cross Country Skiing Championship. It will be held in Pla de Beret on Sunday, 1 February 2026 <\/strong>over the 42, 21 and 10 km trails designed by the organising committee.<\/p>\n

Only the\u00a0classic technique\u00a0<\/strong>is allowed. The organisers will set up control points to observe the entire course and disqualify any skier taking skating steps.<\/p>\n

Men and women born in 2008 and earlier may take part in the two long-distance events. The 10 km race is considered freestyle and is therefore open to everyone. The organisers may refuse to register anyone failing to meet the requirements mentioned above.<\/p>\n

Among the different sporting events being held alongside the Marxa Beret, on Saturday, 31 January<\/strong>\u00a0there will be a Classic Style\u00a0race<\/strong> known as the Sprint and in this edition is part of Spanish Sprint Championship, in Pla de Beret\u00a0<\/strong>, setting off at 10.00 am<\/strong>. Prizes will be handed out on the Saturday evening at 7.00 pm at the Welcome House (Centre Polivalent de Vielha), before the presentation of the Marxa Beret.<\/p>\n

\u00a0STARTS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The three races (42-21-10 km) will start simultaneously in Pla de Beret at 10 am on Sunday, 1 February<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

There will be a pole position grid for skiers with less than 150 points in the 2024\/2025 FIS list who are taking part in the 42 km race, as well as for the top ten (men) and top five (women) ranked skiers over 42 km at the 2025 editions of the Marxa Beret.<\/p>\n

\u00a0INSURANCE AND LIABILITIES<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

All skiers must have accident insurance covering participation in this event. Only skiing licences and member cards from a winter sports federation will be accepted. For entrants without this, the organising committee will provide insurance for the event, which shall be taken out at the time of registration. The organising committee is not liable for any injuries which the skier causes or may cause to third parties.<\/p>\n

AUTHORISATIONS AND STATEMENTS<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

By paying the registration fee, the skier certifies that:<\/p>\n

1) He\/she has their own accident insurance. If not, they shall take out the insurance provided by the organising committee valid for the day of the race.<\/p>\n

2) Their physical condition allows them to take part in CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING, and that they do not have any medical condition which may prevent or hinder their participation in this sport over the chosen distance.<\/p>\n

3) To give consent for the organisers to use the images taken during the race to promote the event and future editions.<\/p>\n

The organising committee reserves the right to change the route, postpone or cancel the race, or modify the rules on grounds of safety or inclement weather conditions.<\/p>\n

ENTRIES<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

For this edition of the Marxa Beret, it is only possible to sign up online<\/strong><\/u> on the dates indicated, or in person at the Centre Polivalent de Vielha (Welcome Village) on the day before the race<\/strong>, where entrants shall also submit the relevant documentation and pick up their number and gift pack.<\/p>\n

Entries<\/strong>. Entrants may sign up online on the Marxa website (https:\/\/www.marxaberet.com<\/strong><\/a>) between Friday, 7 November 2025 and Sunday 25 January 2026.<\/p>\n

Entries<\/strong><\/u> this year shall be limited to 1200 SKIERS.<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

To sign up, entrants must fill out all the sections on the application form and pay the fee by credit card. Once complete, the entry shall be validated and the entrant shall receive a confirmation email, where they can check their details in the “List of entrants” section of the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Members of clubs, with a national skiing licence or FIS code, shall also have to sign up via the entries platform on the Marxa Beret website.<\/em><\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Please note!<\/strong> For any problems with the sign-up process, entrants should send an email via the “Contact” section on the website. Any entry not fully validated by 25 January 2026,<\/strong> the cut-off date for online registration, shall be rendered null and void. Likewise, any entries which include errors, which have not paid the registration fee or which fail to be accompanied by a federation membership card upon collecting the number shall be rendered null and void. In these cases, entrants shall have to sign up in person with the price increase which this entails.<\/p>\n

Collection of numbers.<\/strong>\u00a0 Numbers shall be collected at the WELCOME\u00a0HOUSE (Centre Polivalent de Vielha)<\/strong>. To do so, entrants must show their ID card and licence or federation membership card at the following times:<\/p>\n

DESCRIPCI\u00d3N GENERAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\nLa\u00a037\u00aa Marxa Beret<\/strong> es una marcha popular de esqu\u00ed de fondo incluida en el calendario FIS<\/strong> y en el circuito Euroloppet<\/strong> de pruebas populares. Tendr\u00e1 lugar en el Pla de Beret<\/strong> el s\u00e1bado, d\u00eda 6 y domingo, d\u00eda 7 de febrero de 2016.<\/strong>\r\n\r\nLa prueba del s\u00e1bado, d\u00eda 6 de febrero, ser\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n popular y en t\u00e9cnica libre<\/strong> y se podr\u00e1 disputar en las distancias de 15 y 30 kil\u00f3metros.\r\n\r\nEn la prueba del domingo, d\u00eda 7 de febrero, \u00fanicamente se permitir\u00e1 la t\u00e9cnica cl\u00e1sica<\/strong>. Se podr\u00e1 hacer en las distancias de 10, 21 y 42 kil\u00f3metros. La organizaci\u00f3n establecer\u00e1 a lo largo del recorrido controles de observaci\u00f3n con el objetivo de divisar perfectamente todo el recorrido y descalificar cualquier corredor\/a que utilice los pasos de patinador.\r\n\r\n\u00a0\r\n
